Media and the globalization of language

It is widely known that the new technologies and also globalization have transformed English into a worldwide-spoken languageIt has became a predominant language in most of the media (internet webpages, television, music...), and at the same time, it might seem like it underestimates the rest of the languages.

On one hand, we should see this globalization of the language in a positive way, because we can use it as a tool to comunicate with the rest of the world.  And so it has become a lot easier to share information with anyone, from any country.

But, on the other hand, we must not forget our own laguages. They are still important and a good way to communicate with the people surrounding us. And, in our case, Basque language needs support both from media and from us.

Times change, and now, it's time for a globalized language. We should take advantage of it, and at the same time, don't forget our own situation.
